Amanda Castro, PT, DPT
Biography
Amanda, a native New Mexican, returned to practice Physical Therapy in the state after completing her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with an emphasis in Exercise Science at Northern Arizona University in 2009, and then earning a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at the University of New England in 2013.
Outpatient physical therapy including but not limited to orthopedic issues, balance, deconditioning, and vestibular disorders are areas in which Amanda has practiced extensively, as well as frequently attending courses on upcoming advancements/treatment techniques in these areas. Amanda has ties to the Los Alamos community where she was born, attended school, and worked as an ergonomic specialist at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
In her spare time, Amanda loves to enjoy the great outdoors. Her favorite hobbies include camping, skiing, snowboarding, participating in triatholons, cooking, dancing, crocheting and spending time with friends and family. Amanda is very excited to be a member of the excellent therapists team at Therapy Solutions.
